Words From Webster
By Daniel Webster, Pioneer Press
May 16, 2001

Twenty months ago, the Pioneer Press published a shocking special opinion report linking Felice Pace's Klamath Forest Alliance (KFA) to one of the most outrageous extreme environmental plans for our area.

Our report linked KFA and The Wildlands Project's asinine plan to re-wild our area and eliminate cars and human interaction. The reaction to our report was crazier than the plan itself. Felice's supporters called me a hate monger and accused my newspaper of trying to destroy the morale of the area and hurt Felice and his family.

What seemed ludicrous to many 20 months ago, appears to be the case today. Felice's true agenda is becoming more and more clear.

He and his organization have been instrumental in taking away the farmers' and ranchers' water in the Klamath Basin. What he has done there, he may do to you.

At what point will you wake up?

I look back to those who made the most noise and so ardently supported Felice 20 months ago.

Do these people, who purport to be thinking individuals, not think through the fact that if our population of ranchers and farmers are eliminated, jobs within our schools, doctors' offices and county government go as well?

When Carrie Hayden came up with the idea for the Virtual Bucket Brigade, none of us realized what it would mushroom into.

WOW!

Nearly 7,000 folks and businesses have submitted names to us for our list... and they keep coming in - in droves.

When our e-mail was inundated with the first wave of names, I sat down and became a little choked up as I saw the massive support from literally around the world for our farmers and ranchers. What joy to see the phenomenal outpouring of hope and encouragement.

We must no longer stay silent and allow a few extremists with a whacked out agenda to push their desires through.

Today is the day for the REAL environmentalists to be heard. Today is the day that those who support the REAL environmentalists - the farmers and ranchers - must be heard.

Add your name to the list, if you haven't done so already, and then ask five friends or family members if you can add their names as well.

Scream, Felice, Scream
Daniel Webster, Pioneer Press
September 20, 2006

I've heard Felice Pace scream before. I know he can.

Typically, he rants and raves about farmers and ranchers taking and polluting water for the fish. He yells about loggers cutting down trees in our forests.

Nearly everything that comes out of his mouth and spewed from his pen is bull - an outright lie. Yet, the media still eats it up. Yes, the Klamath Falls Barrel of Snews still gives him thousands of dollars of ink to weave his web of untruth. So why is Felice Pace so silent when it comes to the actual environmental devastation brought about by the drug lords who are cutting down trees, poaching wildlife and polluting our streams and rivers?

Why won't our biggest environmental wacko and his green thugs go after the Mexican drug cartels?

A while back, the Pioneer Press published a hard hitting article about the environmental ruin brought about by the large marijuana plantations. We contacted several key environmental groups in our area, who purport to look after the Klamath River. They would either not comment or claim they knew nothing about the environmental impact of the marijuana grows. How odd. I sat in court and listened with my own ears to the sworn, under oath, testimony regarding Felice Pace's use and distribution of marijuana. The California Attorney General did nothing with that testimony.

So, why doesn't Felice scream about this?

Environmentalists & Drugs
By Daniel Webster, Pioneer Press
May 19, 2004

For those of you in the timber industry, this explains why Environmentalists do not want you in the woods. It would behoove you to help Webster's efforts by just ordering one subscription.

Featuring Radical Environmentalist Felice Pace.

Pace has done all in his power to shut down the timber industry as well as the Farmers and Ranchers in the Klamath Basin.

Siskiyou County, located in far northern California is a flash point - Ground Zero - in the nation's war against drugs and political corruption. It is where a billion dollar marijuana trade is controlling the locals, and has influence over some of the most powerful in the state, as well as the nation. In the center of this, sits a small independent newspaper, whose editor and publisher, Daniel Webster, has been under attack for a year by the most powerful people in California. His struggle to save his newspaper, the Pioneer Press, continues and he needs your help. He is one of the few who has had the guts to take on powerful environmentalists and politicos. Keep your eye on what is happening in Siskiyou County and help spread the word.

Our Community Supports the Real Environmentalists
By Daniel Webster, Pioneer Press
May 9, 2001

A bucket brigade began on Monday. The Pioneer Press was in Klamath Falls supporting our local ranchers and farmers. As with most businesses throughout the region, this newspaper thrives because of our ranching and farming community.

It has been truly awesome to see the outpouring of support for our local real environmentalists - the ranchers and farmers. Main Street was lined with buckets and black ribbons in front of local merchants.

We must now - more than ever - rally around the values and principals of preservation and conservation. Preserving our resources, so that we can farm them and harvest them forever and conserving our water for the irrigating of our fields, so that we can feed the masses.

The Pioneer Press will be dedicating a full page, or as many pages as we need, in next week’s edition to list all of the individuals and businesses who wish to stand behind and beside our local ranchers and farmers.

I want to hear from everyone who supports the real environmentalists. Please send, email, or fax your name or business name. Get this message out to your friends. Forward a message to everyone on your email list and ask them to do the same. There is no cost. It is absolutely free to have your name or business listed as supporting our ranchers and farmers.

In next week’s paper we will also publish a large poster that can be hung up to show your support. Mail, fax or email your name to: Pioneer Press, P.O. Box 400, Fort Jones, CA 96032, FAX (530) 468-5356, or e-mail to: pioneerp@sisqtel.net

Let's keep the Bucket Brigade flowing. How many hundreds or thousands of names can we list, thus adding to those who showed up in Klamath Falls on Monday?
